Champagne Cristal Roederer 2014: a flagship of the House

Emblematic cuvée of the Louis Roederer house, the Cristal was created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia. The Champagne house had called on a renowned Flemish master glassmaker to create a tailor-made bottle for the monarch in order to avoid any risk of an attack on his person. This is how the famous transparent crystal bottle with a flat bottom was born. Discover the 2014 vintage, a wine of pure pleasure, of great gastronomy.

Cristal is delicate and powerful at the same time, all in subtlety and precision.

Dress	Golden colour, intense, bright and brilliant. The effervescence is dynamic, with a continuous succession of clouds of fine bubbles.
Nose	The bouquet is intense, fragrant and of great purity. Concentrated and candied citrus fruits mingle delicately with notes of harvest and lightly roasted almonds. The sensation of a beautiful and generous maturity of fruit, tempered by fresh and acidic bounces, delicate and energetic.
Taste	The palate is fruity and the texture is silky, amplified by a soft effervescence perfectly integrated and deliciously elegant effervescence. The purity and perfection of the ripe yellow fruit merges with the intense chalky freshness, typical of Cristal, both powdery and saline. The mid-palate is dense, juicy, concentrated and long, thanks to the spicy and seductive structure of the partial maturation in oak tuns.
Final	The finish builds to a crescendo, revealing a full texture of grain and velvet wrapped in a long, saline and sublimely elegant finish.
