The Dalmore 17 Year Old is crafted to continue the legacy of the distillery, positioned in the permanent range as a bridge between the elegance of The Dalmore 15 Year Old and the complexity of The Dalmore 18 Year Old. Aged for 12 years in American white oak bourbon casks, the whisky is then equally divided into three types of rare sherry casks: Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem Oloroso, for an additional 5 years of maturation. This double aging process reveals a perfectly structured single malt, rich, generous, and intensely indulgent.
Nose: Vanilla, dark chocolate, marmalade, and sweet licorice.
Palate: Raisins, chocolate, citrus, coffee, nutmeg, and spices.
Finish: Stewed fruits and caramel.
