Engine Gin - 50cl
Made by the master distillers of the Alta Langa region in northwestern Italy, Engine gin is a handcrafted London Dry gin. Its formula is linked to the Piedmontese tradition of Rosolio. This is a type of cordial made from sage and lemon that was once used as a natural digestive. The ingredients of Engine Gin are 100% Italian and organic.
Each of its ingredients is prophylactic. Ligurian sage and Damask rose for relaxation. Calabrian liquorice root for digestion. Spring water for refreshment. Lemon from the Amalfi Coast for energy. Hand-bottled, this Italian gin is produced in limited quantities. Its nose is fresh, acidulous. At first the lemon notes fill the glass. Very quickly, it becomes more vegetal and the sage comes to the fore. In the mouth, its texture is oily. The lemon mingles with juniper berries. The sage brings more freshness to these deliciously acidic notes.
Ideal on its own or with a tonic, Engine gin offers a myriad of possibilities.
