Located in the north of the Pomerol plateau, Château Lagrange à Pomerol is a small 9-hectare vineyard, often referred to by this name to distinguish it from its Médoc namesake, Château Lagrange in Saint-Julien.
Planted on soils of heavy clay covered with gravel, this estate benefits from an ideal terroir for the expression of Merlot, the grape variety that makes up the entire vineyard. Owned by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1953, Château Lagrange à Pomerol produces generous, supple and expressive wines, revealing all the richness and depth of Merlot.
