Plus d’Infos

Origin of cocoa: Guatemala

Type of chocolate: Fruity & Tangy

Tasting notes: Passion fruit, mango, and coffee notes

Asochivite is a small association of around forty producers located in the heart of Guatemala.

Only a few tons of this very rare cocoa are harvested each year.

We are proud to have been working with this very atypical fruity cocoa since the beginning of Encuentro in 2018. The plantations are located in an area separated from the road by a particularly tumultuous river. Each 60kg sack is carried by hand across a suspension bridge that is regularly destroyed during storms. The producers then use boats.

The exceptional cocoa produced by these growers can be disconcerting at first because it is very tangy! It's even more impressive when you open the sack.
