Añejo Reserva is aged for at least 12 months in a combination of French oak wine casks, bourbon barrels, and sherry casks. These tequilas are masterfully blended to create a luxurious, rounded, distinctive expression that highlights the rich chocolate and fruit flavors imparted by the sherry casks.
KOMOS — CRAFTSMANSHIP
True to Komos’ know-how, this expression is produced in Mexico from perfectly ripe 100% Blue Weber agaves, hand-harvested from the varied terroirs of the highlands and lowlands of the Tequila Valley in Jalisco. The piñas are roasted in traditional stone ovens, then the aguamiel is naturally fermented and distilled twice in copper pot stills. After one year of aging and meticulous blending, the liquid develops rich chocolate and fruit aromas from the sherry casks. The finishing touch is gentle aeration—a winemaking technique in which the liquid is spun to absorb oxygen, delivering a smoother, softer palate.
THE BOTTLE
The iconic bottle is handcrafted by artisans and designed to be recycled. Its striking white ceramic evokes the beauty of the Mediterranean while preserving the aromas and flavors within.
