If you’re looking for Leola Bear, she’s probably in her South London studio, surrounded by paintings, sculptures and fashion creations. And when she’s not there… it means she’s exploring the world in search of inspiration and the perfect shade of plum.
A brilliant but slightly scatterbrained artist, she’s been known to reheat the same cup of tea three times. Leola gets completely carried away by her imagination. When inspiration strikes, time simply disappears… Luckily, her cousin Bartholomew Bear keeps an eye on things: he’s always ready to bring her a steaming cup of tea and a plate of biscuits — admittedly a little crushed, but delicious.
Bartholomew is also Leola’s favourite muse. All his costumes bear her signature touch: from the fiery red of his Heartthrob outfit to the Bat Bear coat for Halloween, not forgetting his sunny carnival costume.
Leola is convinced that one day her talent will be recognised. Until then, she keeps creating wonders for those she loves.
