Founded in 1643, Maison Trudon became famous for its taper candles, torches, and other lighting candles. Maison Trudon became the Royal Wax Manufacture in 1719. These large candles, known as Royal Candles, have the same format as those that once adorned the King’s apartments at Versailles. They are made in our workshops in Normandy, then manually coated in baths of specially developed colored waxes. The Royal Candles are made from highly pure wax; they do not drip and produce a steady flame that does not give off smoke.
