The Tuileries collection is inspired by a rare document preserved in the French National Archives: the Gazette des Atours de la Reine. In what appears to be an ordinary notebook, the Countess Geneviève d’Ossun—a French courtier who served as lady-in-waiting to Marie-Antoinette—gathered numerous fabric samples used to make the many royal dresses and outfits worn by the queens.
The fragrance was designed as a tribute to the rose, the Queen’s favorite flower throughout her life.
