Crafted in small batches on the island of Negros, Don Papa Port Quincentennial embodies Don Papa Distillery’s quest for excellence. This second commemorative edition, inspired by Ferdinand Magellan’s first circumnavigation of the globe, follows in the footsteps of the successful 2021 vintage.
This blend brings together rums aged for 7 years in the unique volcanic climate of Mount Kanlaon, then further matured for 2 years in bourbon casks and 5 years in ruby port casks. This double maturation gives the rum remarkable aromatic richness, marked by notes of liquorice, spices, and caramel.
A generous and powerful expression, this exceptional rum perfectly illustrates the balance between tradition, boldness, and elegance, in keeping with the artisanal identity of the Don Papa house.
Please note: although our visual mentions a limited edition of 15,000 bottles, this cuvée in fact consists of 5,300 bottles. We also confirm that the word “rhum” does indeed appear on the label with its French spelling, including the “h”.
